As a Man Thinketh so he becomes

In my last article on the Aging Baby Boomer topic – Simple Ways for Aging Baby Boomers to Stay Young – I discussed ways to live and incorporate healthier activities and mindsets into becoming a “new you” or “older you with a new, positive outlook” so you can still be or become your best self.

And the bottom line: It’s truly never too late to learn any and all new tricks of the trade to help you feel young… or at least young at heart!

If you recall, in the last article I asserted that it all starts in and with the mind. You are only as old, or “slightly worn,” as you believe yourself to be.

The key to understanding and accepting your current age and your perception of it is to develop a new and current mindset which dictates how old you want to feel – and hopefully that is forever young!

And how does one go about feeling “forever young“? Simply telling the mind that you want to feel and be young or younger. Of course this is easier said than done, but “done” is not that hard!

It requires just two key ingredients; 1) a new and positive mindset, and 2) mental discipline.

Remember, you are whatever and whomever you think you are. A great passage from the Bible, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” said it best. British author and philosophical writer James Allen expanded on this passage and wrote an entire inspiring book “As A Man Thinketh” to motivate people and it has become one of the greatest self-help books of the last 100 years!

What do you “thinketh” about who and what you are?

Do you struggle to feel full of  life and feel young again? Remember, if it is going to be it is up to you to get the ball rolling. It all starts with a single thought… thoughts become things! In this case, you become what you think about most.

The best way to attain the level of being you want to get to is to get a clear understanding of what it is to feel young at heart – see yourself feeling, being and doing “young” things. The key is to seed the mind with “young” thoughts. The more you think about it, the more you are fertilizing/cultivating the thoughts associated with “feeling young“.

Remember, where thoughts go, energy flows!

I have had people ask, “Well, I want to feel younger and think younger, but my mind is stuck on old thought patterns. What can I do about fixing this?”

Perhaps the most efficient and easiest way to accomplish this is through visualization accomplished through either meditation or self-hypnosis. You see, when you visualize anything and it feels so real, it literally becomes real to your emotional states.

When you see something that elicits a feeling, the experience is energized ten-fold. In fact, it feels so real like you are actually in the experience or are the experience! Hypnosis gets you to this point quickest because it by-passes the critical mind’s sensors and brings you to the place of “make believe” where you literally make things happen that you want to believe possible.

How bad do you want to turn back the clock, at least in your mind?

How awesome would it be to feel, act and even look younger? Remember, you are what you think and only you can determine what you want to think and feel.
