The Float-In Method in Three Simple Parts
You're not broken; your brain learned a pattern. This method gives it a new picture to follow.Build your mental movie
Pick one thing you want: a feeling, a goal, or a version of you. Then picture that you, already living it. Make the picture bright, clear and real.
Calm, confident, focused, or anything you choose.Float in
See that version of you out in front of you. Then float forward and step inside. Now you see through their eyes and feel what they feel.
You're not watching it. You're living it.Deepen and install
Stay inside the picture and let it grow richer. Notice where you feel it in your body. This gives the part of your mind that runs your habits a clear new picture to follow.
Then you count up from one to five and bring the feeling with you.The audio teaches all three parts. Your one-page guide turns them into five easy steps, so you can practice on your own.
What You'll Hear and Feel
You'll hear my voice, guiding you one step at a time. First I explain the method while your eyes are open. Then we do it together. You'll breathe slowly, close your eyes, and step into the picture you made.
Most people feel calm and settled. Some feel heavy or a little tingly. Some just feel relaxed. All of that is normal. And no, there's no swinging watch. No clucking like a chicken. Just you, your breath, and a clear picture.
You stay aware and in control
Self-hypnosis is a natural, focused state, like getting lost in a good book. You can hear everything, and you can stop whenever you like.
About 16 minutes
Short enough for a lunch break. Long enough to settle in and give it a real try.

Meet Erika Slater, CH
Certified Hypnotist · Practicing since 2004 · Mashpee, Cape CodI've helped people change stubborn habits since 2004. I'm also a former computer analyst, so I like things that make sense and work in real life.
I use self-hypnosis myself, for my own goals and my own stress. That's why I want you to have it too. It's one of the simplest ways I know to work with your mind instead of fighting it.
This is collaborative: your goals, your pace, your agency. You bring the goal. I'll show you the tool.
Your Questions, Answered
Yes, for most people. Self-hypnosis is a natural, focused state, a lot like getting lost in a good book. You're awake and aware the whole time. Just listen seated, and never while driving or doing anything that needs your attention. If you're under care for a mental health condition, check with your provider first.
No. You stay aware and in charge the whole time. You can hear the sounds around you, and you can open your eyes and stop whenever you like. Hypnosis can't make you do anything you don't want to do. Think of it as focus, not a takeover.
That's okay, and it's common. Some people see clear pictures. Others get more of a sense or a feeling. You can also notice what you'd hear, or the words this version of you says to themselves. Any of these works, and it tends to get easier with practice.
Daily is best. Even five minutes a day adds up. The more you practice, the easier it gets, and the more that new feeling starts to show up in your day.
No. The audio teaches you the method and walks you through it once. After that, you can use the five steps on your one-page guide to do it on your own. Many people like to replay the audio now and then as a refresher.

Before you listen
Please listen seated, in a quiet, safe place. Never listen while driving or doing anything that needs your full attention. Self-hypnosis supports well-being and habit change. It isn't a substitute for medical or mental health care. If you're under a doctor's or therapist's care, check with them first.
