Losing weight is one challenge.
Keeping it off is a different one.
The habits and mental shifts that sustain your results long-term
live in a different place than the ones that got you here.
That's what maintenance hypnotherapy addresses.
Why it's harder than it looks...
The brain resists at maintenance
Research consistently shows that the hardest part of weight loss isn't losing — it's staying. The brain actively resists weight loss maintenance. Hunger hormones shift. The reward system recalibrates. Old patterns resurface under stress.
Willpower-based approaches tend to erode over time. The further you get from the initial motivation, the harder it is to sustain the effort. Hypnotherapy addresses this by building new automatic patterns — choices that don't require active effort to maintain.
If you've hit your goal weight, or come close, and you can feel the pull backward beginning — this is the right time to do this work.
The areas we focus on...
What maintenance hypnotherapy targets
Preventing the "I'll start Monday" loop
The slip-and-restart cycle that slowly erodes progress. We build in resilience at the subconscious level.
Long-term identity shift
"I'm a person who eats this way" — building that identity internally, not as a rule you're following.
Staying connected to your motivation
The "why" that drove your initial effort often fades. We keep it alive and accessible.
Managing celebratory eating
Success can trigger its own kind of permission-giving. We address the reward associations that can undermine your progress.
Handling stress without food
Stress responses are among the most common drivers of regain. We build alternative, automatic responses.
Navigating social situations
Events, family, restaurants — the places where maintenance most often breaks down.
