Introduction:
Do you ever feel like you’re working hard on yourself and still not getting anywhere?
You’re not alone. And I have good news: Change doesn’t take a personality transplant, a mountain retreat, or giving up coffee. (I’d never ask you to give up coffee.)
This videos are for busy adults who expect a lot of themselves. You might be working on a habit, managing stress, or building confidence. Each short video gives you one simple idea you can use right away. Watch it, try it, and see what changes.

Video 1: The Gap and the Gain (13 minutes)
Picture running a race where someone moves the finish line every time you get close. Nobody would sign up for that. Yet most of us run that race every day when we measure ourselves against where we think we should be.
In this video, I share an idea from the book The Gap and the Gain by Dan Sullivan and Benjamin Hardy. It’s a simple way to see your progress, and to finally give yourself credit for it.
In this video, you’ll learn:
- Why the finish line keeps moving, and how that steals your sense of progress
- One question to ask yourself when you think, “I’m still not there yet”
- How to turn small wins into proof that you’re changing
Try this tonight (2 minutes)
Before bed, write down three gains from your day. They don’t have to be big. “Made the phone call I’d been avoiding for a week” counts. So does “Had one cookie, not the whole sleeve.” Then ask yourself: What does this tell me about who I’m becoming?
Key Takeaway: Measure your progress from where you started, not from where you think you should be.
