Rules for Success After Making Your Stomach Smaller

Hypnotically your stomach has now been made smaller. In order to aid your weight control it is very important that you follow the enclosed guidance. They will support and reinforce the suggestions given in hypnosis so that the habit of never eating too much becomes more quickly embedded in your sub-conscious mind.  Changing this aspect of your relationship with food will aid significantly in your weight loss efforts.

Make a resolve now to take responsibility and follow these instructions to the letter. Success will be yours.

VISUALIZE YOURSELF AT YOUR IDEAL SHAPE AND SIZE:

One very powerful psychological technique that I will be using is called the law of concentrated attention. Basically it means that if there is something in life that you really want – then behave in a way that you already have it – and you are very likely to get it. Imagine yourself at your destination point. You turned the old mirror to the wall and only the new mirror remains now.

 

LISTEN TO THE CD:

The CD utilizes a multitude of the latest mind management techniques and is a very important part of this process. It is absolutely essential that you listen to it at least once a day (more if you can) for the next 40 days.

The CD will create new neural pathways in your brain regarding your associations and attitudes towards food. It will also reinforce the live sessions that you attend. Ideally you will listen first thing in the morning and before dinner in the evening.

You will increase the effect tenfold if you listen to it using stereo headphones. Also find a comfortable place to sit or lie down undisturbed for 15 minutes..

IMPORTANT – NEVER USE THE CD WHILST DRIVING OR OPERATING MACHINERY.

 

EAT SLOWLY AND CONSCIOUSLY:

Enjoy every mouthful of food, but slow your eating down, chew your food thoroughly (approx 15-20 times a mouthful). Put your knife and fork down between mouthfuls. Do NOT eat in front of the television or whilst reading as you will not be conscious of what you are eating. Sit down and focus purely on the food in front of you.

STOP EATING AS SOON AS YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE

 

EAT ONLY WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY  – WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY YOU EAT:

Initially you will stick to the protein and vegetables and later you will bring on the other foods. Keep your protein and vegetables in equal amounts. As your portion size will be reduced, it may be worth investing in some small plates and bowls.

 

DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS – WATER, WATER, WATER.

 

EXERCISE:

Research has shown that increasing your protein intake when you are reducing your weight will help maintain and can actually increase muscle mass. This is good  – more muscle means a bigger furnace. However toned muscle is always much more attractive and this is achieved through moving your body. Walk, run, dance or swim – what ever strikes your fancy. Housework – NO!

 

DEALING WITH HEAD HUNGER:

Head hunger or false hunger refers to a condition in which you think you need food but your body is not actually the one demanding energy. Something else is triggering you to respond to food. It can something as simple as the time on the clock – my son would get up at 9.00am and have breakfast and as soon as he saw 10.00am on the clock that was snack time even though he had only eaten just a short while ago. He was triggered by the clock…what triggers do you have?

5 ways to deal with head hunger

  1. Drink a glass of water.
  2. Wait it out (about ten minutes).
  3. Exercise – walk, stretch etc.
  4. Concentrate on deep, slow breathing.
  5. Tell yourself the feeling will pass.

 

GIVE YOURSELF SUPPORT:

Going through this weight loss program is one thing but you will eventually have to be on your own. To reach your final destination requires that you take some ownership of the process.

In other words make this ‘’your’’ weight loss program, take pride in what you are doing and in each milestone along the way.  To support your efforts along this journey reward yourself periodically by doing or buying something nice for yourself.

Reward yourself for the smaller goals reached, i.e. I am going to treat myself to a facial for every dress size I go down.
